From the center of Old Bagan, head south on Main Road (the road that runs parallel to the Irrawaddy River). Walk for about 10-15 minutes until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Gawdawpalin Temple. You can recognize the temple's towering structure in the distance. Turn right at the intersection and continue walking for another 5 minutes. The entrance to Gawdawpalin Temple will be on your left. Make sure to check the operating hours, as the temple is open from 6 AM to 9 PM.

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Old Bagan. Start by heading south on Main Road. After approximately 1 kilometer, turn right at the intersection towards Gawdawpalin Temple. The temple is about 2 kilometers further down this road. Keep an eye out for the temple's distinctive architecture as you approach. Note that the area can be dusty, so wear a mask if you are sensitive to dust.
