• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start from Bago city center and head south on the Bago-Hpa Yar Gyi Road (also known as the Yangon-Bago Road). Continue driving for approximately 35 kilometers until you reach Hpa Yar Gyi. Once in Hpa Yar Gyi, look for signs directing you to Wingabaw Elephant Camp, which is located at the coordinates 17.4735622, 96.4706268. You may need to use a GPS for the final approach since the camp is situated a bit off the main road. Ensure to check the road conditions, as some smaller roads can be less maintained.

  For those using public transportation, take a bus from Bago to Hpa Yar Gyi. Buses operate frequently from the Bago bus station and the fare is approximately 1,000-2,000 MMK (Myanmar Kyat).
