Getting There

  If you are driving from Bago city, take the Bago-Hpa-An Road (also known as National Highway 1) heading southeast. Continue for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach Kaingdagyi. Look for the turn-off towards R32J+2X, which is where the Bago Ranges (ပဲခူးရိုးမ) are located. The drive should take around 40 minutes depending on traffic. Ensure your vehicle has enough fuel as there are limited service stations along this route.

• Public Bus

  To reach the Bago Ranges using public transportation, take a bus from Bago city to Kaingdagyi. Buses frequently depart from the main bus terminal in Bago. The bus fare is typically around 1,000 MMK (Myanmar Kyat) and the journey takes about 1 to 1.5 hours. Once in Kaingdagyi, you may need to hire a local taxi or motorbike to reach the exact location of Bago Ranges (R32J+2X), which is approximately 5 kilometers away from the bus stop.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Bago city to the Bago Ranges. The taxi fare may range from 10,000 to 15,000 MMK depending on your negotiation skills and the driver. The journey will take around 40 minutes. Ensure to agree on the fare before starting your trip and confirm if the taxi will wait for you while you explore the area.

  For the more adventurous traveler, consider renting a motorbike in Bago city. Rental prices are usually around 5,000 to 10,000 MMK per day. Follow the Bago-Hpa-An Road southeast towards Kaingdagyi.
