Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from Hakha, the capital of Chin State, head northeast on the main road (National Highway 2). After approximately 90 km, you will reach the town of Falam. From Falam, continue on the same road for another 50 km towards the town of Tedim. As you approach Tedim, keep an eye out for signs directing you towards Phawngpui National Park. Once you reach the park entrance, you will need to pay an entrance fee of 5000 kyats. Continue driving until you reach the Phawngpui Tlang Viewpoint, which is well signposted. The total driving distance is around 150 km and may take approximately 4-5 hours depending on road conditions.

  • Public Transportation

    From Hakha, you can take a shared taxi or local bus to Falam. Shared taxis leave regularly, and the fare is about 3000 kyats. The journey takes around 1.5 hours. Once in Falam, you will need to catch another shared taxi to Tedim, which costs approximately 2000 kyats and takes about 1 hour. After arriving in Tedim, you can hire a local taxi or motorbike to take you to the Phawngpui National Park entrance for about 5000 kyats. After paying the entrance fee (5000 kyats), continue to the Phawngpui Tlang Viewpoint. The total travel time using public transport may take around 5-6 hours, including waiting times.
