From the Golden Triangle, take the road heading towards Taunggyi. Continue on this road for approximately 30 kilometers until you see signs for Kakku. Turn onto the road leading to Kakku Pagodas. The drive offers beautiful scenery, so take your time. You may encounter checkpoints along the way, so keep your identification handy. There is no direct road access to Kakku Pagodas, so you will need to park your car at the designated parking area and hire a local guide or taxi to take you the remaining distance to the pagodas.

Public Transportation

Start from your location in the Golden Triangle and find a local bus or shared taxi heading towards Taunggyi. The bus ride will take about 1-1.5 hours depending on traffic. Once you reach Taunggyi, you will need to switch to a local taxi or hire a motorcycle taxi to take you to Kakku Pagodas, which is about 45 minutes away from Taunggyi. Be prepared for the costs of both the bus and taxi, which can vary, but expect to pay around 5,000-10,000 MMK for the bus and approximately 15,000-20,000 MMK for the taxi.
