Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Hpa-An, start at the famous Kyauk Ka Lat Pagoda. Head westward along the main road for about 15-20 minutes until you reach the junction with the Hpa-An to Mawlamyine road (Route 9). Look for local shops and signs along the way for directions. Once at the junction, turn left onto Route 9 and continue walking for approximately another 30 minutes. You will pass several small villages, so enjoy the local scenery. After about 30 minutes, keep an eye out for a sign indicating the direction to Natural Water Cave. Follow the signs leading to the cave, which will be about a 10-minute walk from the main road.

    Rent a bicycle from any rental shop in Hpa-An. Head to the main road towards Mawlamyine (Route 9) from the center of Hpa-An. Cycle for about 5 kilometers (approximately 20-30 minutes) until you reach the junction with the Hpa-An to Mawlamyine road. Turn left at the junction. Continue cycling for another 2 kilometers until you see signs pointing to Natural Water Cave. The cave entrance will be on your right. Make sure to be cautious of traffic as you ride.
