Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Hpa-An, start at the Hpa-An Market. Exit the market and head southeast on the main road (Mahar Aung Myay Road). Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass several local shops and small eateries along the way. Keep an eye out for the large limestone hills that are characteristic of the area. As you approach a fork in the road, take the left path which will lead you towards the river. Follow this road for another 500 meters until you reach the intersection near the riverbank.

    At the riverbank intersection, turn right and walk along the river for about 300 meters. You will see a small path leading up to the Kyaut Ka Latt Pagoda on your left. The pagoda is located on a limestone rock surrounded by water, making it a picturesque spot. As you approach, you will see the iconic stupa rising above the landscape.
