From the center of Kalaw, head south on Kalaw Main Road (also known as Thida Road). Continue walking for about 1 kilometer until you reach the junction with Bagan Road. Turn right onto Bagan Road. After approximately 500 meters, you will see signs indicating the direction to Inle Lake and the Floating Gardens. Follow the signs through the local village area, and you will eventually arrive at the entrance to the Floating Gardens of Inle Lake, which is located near the water's edge.

Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Kalaw, located near the market square. Start at the market square and head south down Kalaw Main Road. After about 1 kilometer, turn right onto Bagan Road. Continue cycling for roughly 500 meters, keeping an eye out for directional signs towards Inle Lake. Follow these signs as they guide you through the village and to the Floating Gardens of Inle Lake. The ride should take about 20-30 minutes, depending on your speed.

Catch a local shared taxi or 'pick-up' from the Kalaw taxi stand near the market. Ask the driver to take you to Inle Lake. The driver will drop you off at the entrance point for the Floating Gardens. This should take about 15-20 minutes, and it's advisable to confirm the fare before getting in. The cost is usually quite affordable, around 1,000 to 2,000 kyats.
