Getting There

• Walking

  Start at the Kalaw town center, where the main market is located. Head south on Main Street (also known as Yaw Min Gyi Street) towards the Kalaw Railway Station. Continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with the road leading up to the hills. At this intersection, turn left onto the hill road. From here, it’s about a 30-minute uphill walk to Kalaw Mountain View. The path is well-trodden, and you'll see signs along the way. Keep an eye on your surroundings for beautiful views of the mountains and valleys.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in the town center. Begin at the market and head south on Main Street towards the Kalaw Railway Station. After about 1 kilometer, take a left onto the hill road. The ride to Kalaw Mountain View will take approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on your pace. Be cautious as the road can be steep in certain areas.

• Trekking

  For those who enjoy trekking, there are multiple trails leading to Kalaw Mountain View. Start at the Kalaw town center and take the trail that leads up through the pine forests. Follow the signs indicating the direction to Kalaw Mountain View. This trek can take about 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on your fitness level. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as the trek can be strenuous.
