If you are staying in the city center of Mandalay, start at the Mandalay Palace. From the palace, head south on 26th Street until you reach 84th Street. Turn right on 84th Street and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Mandalay Hill Road. Turn left on Mandalay Hill Road and follow it. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will see the entrance to Kyauktawgyi Pagoda on your left. It is a short walk from the main road.

From the city center, you can hire a trishaw to take you to Kyauktawgyi Pagoda. Negotiate the fare before starting your journey.
