Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, set your GPS to 22.013011 latitude and 96.1089697 longitude, which will lead you directly to Mandalay Hill in Aungmyaythazan, Mandalay. From the city center, head north on 26th Street until you reach the intersection with 80th Street. Turn left onto 80th Street and continue straight for about 3 kilometers. Follow the signs for Mandalay Hill. There is a designated parking area at the base of the hill. Note that parking may incur a small fee.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  To reach Mandalay Hill using public transportation, locate a local bus station in Mandalay. Look for buses heading towards 'Mandalay Hill' or 'Mandalay Palace' as they often stop near the hill. The bus fare is typically around 500-1000 MMK (Myanmar Kyat). Once you arrive at the nearest stop, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the entrance of Mandalay Hill.

• Taxi

  Taking a taxi is another convenient option. You can book a taxi through local ride-hailing apps or flag one down on the street. Inform the driver you want to go to Mandalay Hill. The fare from the city center should range from 3000 to 6000 MMK depending on your starting location and negotiation skills. Taxis can drop you off at the base of the hill where you can start your ascent.

• Motorbike Rental

  For the more adventurous, consider renting a motorbike. There are rental shops throughout Mandalay where you can rent a motorbike for about 5000-7000 MMK per day. Once you have your bike, head north towards Mandalay Hill by following the same directions as for cars. Park your motorbike at the designated area at the base of the hill.
