Approach one of the drivers and ask for a ride to U Bein Bridge (again, showing them the name in Burmese might help). The ride is quicker than a trishaw, taking about 20-30 minutes. If you are staying close to the bridge, you can walk there. Start from the nearest landmark, such as the Mandalay Palace, and head south towards the Mandalay moat.
