Car

If you are driving, start from Mawlamyine city center. Head north on Strand Road, then take a left to follow the signs towards the Sea of Clouds View Point. Continue on this road for approximately 10 km, enjoying the scenic views along the way. The road will eventually lead you uphill, and you will see the signs for the Sea of Clouds View Point. There is parking available near the viewpoint.

Public Transportation

To reach the Sea of Clouds View Point using public transport, take a local bus or shared taxi from Mawlamyine city center heading towards Kyaiktiyo Pagoda. You can ask the driver to drop you off at the junction for the Sea of Clouds View Point. The fare is usually around 1,000 to 2,000 MMK. From the drop-off point, you may need to walk approximately 2 km uphill to reach the viewpoint, or you can hire a local motorbike taxi for about 1,500 MMK.

Motorbike Rental

For more flexibility, consider renting a motorbike in Mawlamyine. Rental shops are available throughout the city, and prices typically range from 7,000 to 10,000 MMK per day. Once rented, follow the same route as driving. The advantage of a motorbike is that you can stop along the way to enjoy the scenery and take photos.
