Getting There

    From Ngwe Saung Beach, start by heading west on the main road (Ngwe Saung Road) towards Pathein. Continue driving for approximately 45 kilometers until you reach the fork in the road near Pathein. Take the right fork onto the Pathein-Mawlamyine Road (also known as Highway 1). Follow this road for about 200 kilometers. Look for signs indicating 'Ngapali Beach' as you approach the town of Thandwe. Turn left onto the road leading into Ngapali Beach, which is well-marked. The entire drive should take around 4 to 5 hours, depending on traffic conditions.

  • Public Transportation

    To travel from Ngwe Saung Beach to Ngapali Beach using public transportation, start by taking a local bus from Ngwe Saung to Pathein. The bus station is located near the beach area. Buses run regularly, and the fare is approximately 2,000 MMK. Once you arrive in Pathein (about 1 hour), transfer to a bus heading towards Thandwe, which is a common route. This bus ride will take around 3 to 4 hours and costs around 7,000 MMK. Upon reaching Thandwe, you can take a taxi or a motorbike taxi to reach Ngapali Beach, which is about 15 kilometers from Thandwe. The taxi fare is usually around 5,000 MMK.
