From Taunggyi, you can take a local bus to Kakku. Buses depart from the Taunggyi bus station regularly. The fare is around 3,000 MMK and the journey takes about 1-1.5 hours. Make sure to inform the driver that you are going to Kakku, as they will drop you at the nearest point to the pagodas.
