If you are starting from Sule Pagoda, head southwest on Maha Bandoola Road towards the intersection with Kaba Aye Pagoda Road. Continue walking for about 1 km until you reach the entrance of Shwedagon Pagoda, which will be visible on your left as you approach.

From downtown Yangon, locate a local bus heading towards Dagon Township. Buses numbered 29 and 32 will take you close to Shwedagon Pagoda. Get off at the stop near the pagoda entrance, and from there, it is a short walk to the entrance of the pagoda.

If you are near Kandawgyi Lake, start by walking towards the east along the lake's edge. Continue until you reach the bridge that crosses over to the pagoda area. Cross the bridge and follow the path that leads directly to the entrance of Shwedagon Pagoda.
