Experience National Races Village

Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the central part of Mayangone, head towards the main road, Pyay Road (also known as the Yangon-Pyay Road). Once you reach Pyay Road, turn onto the road heading southeast. Continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Shukhinthar Road. At this intersection, you will see signs for National Races Village. Turn left onto Shukhinthar Road and walk straight for approximately 700 meters until you see the entrance to National Races Village on your right.

  • Public Bus

    From any point in Mayangone, find the nearest bus stop and look for buses heading towards the Shukhinthar area. Buses numbered 36, 39, or 50 typically pass close to the National Races Village. Board the bus and pay the fare, which is usually around 200 MMK (Myanmar Kyat). Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes, and get off at the stop closest to Shukhinthar Road. After getting off, walk about 10 minutes down Shukhinthar Road until you reach the entrance to the National Races Village.

  • Bike Rental

    If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Mayangone. Once you have your bike, head towards Pyay Road and follow the same route as described for walking, but on your bicycle. This option allows you to enjoy the surroundings as you ride the approximately 2.2 kilometers to the National Races Village. It should take about 10-15 minutes depending on your biking speed.
