Car
If you're traveling by car within Kaokoland, start your journey from Opuwo, the largest town in the region. Head north on the C35 road. After approximately 100 km, turn onto the D3700 road, which is a gravel road. Continue for about 50 km until you reach the junction where you can see signs pointing to Fingerklippe. Follow the signs for another 10 km, where the road will lead you directly to Fingerklippe. Ensure you have a 4x4 vehicle, as the road can be rough and challenging, especially during the rainy season.

Public transport options in Kaokoland are limited, but you can catch a bush taxi from Opuwo heading towards the northern regions. Inform the driver that you want to go to Fingerklippe. The taxi will drop you off at a point close to the D3700 road. From there, you will need to walk approximately 10 km on foot or hire a local guide with a vehicle to take you the rest of the way to Fingerklippe. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand.
