Walking
Start in the center of Katima Mulilo at the main market area. Head northwest on the main road (B8) that leads out of town. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will reach the junction with the D3504 road. Continue straight onto the D3504 road. Walk for about 2 kilometers, and keep an eye out for the signs directing you to Namwi Island Campsite. As you approach, you will see the entrance on your left, just before the bridge crossing the Zambezi River.
Bicycle
Begin your journey at the Katima Mulilo Waterfront. Ride along the Zambezi River towards the north. Follow the waterfront path, which will eventually lead you to the main road (B8). Once on the B8, head northwest for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the D3504 road. Turn left onto the D3504 and continue for approximately 2 kilometers. Look for signage indicating the Namwi Island Campsite on your left.
Public Transport
Find a local taxi or shuttle at the Katima Mulilo taxi rank. Inform the driver you want to go to Namwi Island Campsite. They will know the area. The drive will take approximately 15 minutes, and you will be dropped off at the entrance of the campsite. If you need to walk from the drop-off point, follow the signs leading to the campsite, which is only a short distance away.
