Car
To reach Daan Viljoen Game Reserve from any location within Namib-Naukluft National Park, you will first need to drive towards Windhoek. The most common route is to take the B1 highway north from the park. Once you reach Windhoek, continue driving until you see the signs for Daan Viljoen Game Reserve. The reserve is located approximately 25 kilometers southwest of Windhoek city center. Follow the B1 highway until you reach the turn-off for the reserve; it will be clearly marked. The entrance to the reserve is on the right side. Please note that there may be an entrance fee to access the reserve, which is usually around N$ 50 per vehicle.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, you will first need to get to Windhoek. You can take a bus from various locations within Namib-Naukluft National Park to Windhoek. Once you arrive in Windhoek, you can catch a taxi or a shuttle that goes to Daan Viljoen Game Reserve. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they will drop you off at the reserve entrance. Public transport costs can vary, so expect to pay around N$ 100 for the bus to Windhoek, and an additional N$ 50-100 for the taxi or shuttle to the reserve.
