Taxi
From any location in Omaruru, find a local taxi service. You can ask locals or your hotel for recommendations. Once you are in the taxi, tell the driver you want to go to Dinosaur Camp at Mount Etjo Safari Lodge Campsite. The driver will take you via the B1 highway. The journey will take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the traffic. The driver should be familiar with the route, but you can follow along on your phone maps for reassurance.

Head to the main bus station in Omaruru, which is usually located near the center of town. Look for a bus heading towards Otjiwarongo or other destinations that pass near Mount Etjo. Confirm with the bus staff that it stops at or near Mount Etjo Safari Lodge. The bus ride will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at a stop close to Mount Etjo, you may need to arrange for a local taxi to take you the remaining distance to Dinosaur Camp.

Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and are up for a long trek, you can walk from Omaruru to Dinosaur Camp. Start from the center of Omaruru and head northwest towards the B1 highway. Follow the B1 highway north for approximately 22 kilometers. This is a lengthy walk and should only be attempted if you're in good physical condition and prepared with water and snacks, as it may take several hours depending on your pace. Ensure you are walking during daylight hours for safety.
