Car
From Zambezi, head southwest on the B8 road towards Rundu. Continue on the B8 until you reach the junction with the B10 road. Take the B10 south towards Otjiwarongo. After approximately 300 km, keep an eye out for signs directing you to the Okonjima Nature Reserve. Follow the signs for about 20 km until you reach the Okonjima Plains Camp entrance. Please note, there may be a small entry fee for the nature reserve.
Public Transportation
To reach Okonjima Plains Camp via public transport, you can take a bus from Zambezi to Otjiwarongo. Several bus services operate this route, and the journey typically takes around 6-8 hours, costing approximately N$ 200-300. Once you arrive in Otjiwarongo, you will need to hire a taxi or shuttle service to take you the remaining 20 km to Okonjima Plains Camp. Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver before departing, as it may vary.

If you are already in Otjiwarongo, you can hire a taxi or shuttle service directly to Okonjima Plains Camp. The distance is only about 20 km and should take around 30 minutes. It is advisable to arrange your taxi in advance or ask your hotel for reliable contacts. The fare may range from N$ 200-400 depending on the service.
