Car
From Windhoek, take the B1 road heading north. Continue for approximately 400 km until you reach the town of Otjiwarongo. From Otjiwarongo, take the C38 road towards Olukonda. Continue on the C38 for about 100 km, and then follow the signs leading to Nakambale Museum. The museum is located just outside the town of Olukonda, which will be on your right.
Public Transportation
Start your journey at the Windhoek Main Bus Station. Look for a bus that heads to Otjiwarongo; these buses leave regularly throughout the day. The bus fare is approximately 200 NAD. Upon arriving in Otjiwarongo, you will need to transfer to a local minibus heading to Olukonda. The minibus fare is around 50 NAD. Inform the driver that you are heading to Nakambale Museum, and they will drop you off at the nearest point to the museum. Be prepared to walk a short distance to reach the entrance.
