From the main entrance of Spitzkoppe, head east on the C35 road towards Usakos. After about 5 km, you will see a sign indicating the turnoff to the Golden Snake Fossil. Turn right onto the gravel road and follow the signs. The road can be bumpy, so drive carefully. Continue for about 2 km until you reach the parking area near the fossil site. Please note that a small entrance fee may be required at the parking area.

If you are using public transport, take a shared taxi from Swakopmund to Spitzkoppe, which generally leaves from the local taxi rank.
