Scenic Serenity at Aussichtspunkt

Getting There

• Walking

  Start your journey at the Swakopmund Jetty, a popular landmark located at the beach. From there, head east along the beachfront promenade. Continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers, enjoying the ocean views as you go. After approximately 20 minutes of walking, you will reach the intersection with Strand Street. Turn left onto Strand Street and walk for another 500 meters until you reach the junction with Sam Nujoma Avenue. Turn right onto Sam Nujoma Avenue and walk for about 300 meters. You will see a small path leading towards the viewpoint on your left. Follow this path, which will lead you to Aussichtspunkt, offering a stunning view of the surrounding area.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Swakopmund, such as 'Swakopmund Bike Hire'. Start from the bike rental location and head towards the beach. Ride along the beachfront promenade for around 1.5 kilometers. Once you reach the intersection with Strand Street, turn left and continue for 500 meters. When you reach Sam Nujoma Avenue, turn right and ride for about 300 meters. Look out for a small path on your left that leads to Aussichtspunkt. Lock your bike and enjoy the scenic views from the viewpoint.

• Public Transport

  Take the local shuttle service from the Swakopmund central bus station. Look for shuttles that head towards the beach or the Namib Desert. Inform the driver that you wish to get off near Strand Street. After about a 10-minute ride, disembark at the designated stop. From there, walk towards Strand Street and turn left. Continue walking for about 500 meters and turn right onto Sam Nujoma Avenue. After 300 meters, you'll see a small path on your left leading to Aussichtspunkt.
