Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the central area of Swakopmund, start at the Swakopmund Museum located at 1 Ludwig Koch Street. Head east on Ludwig Koch Street towards the ocean until you reach Strand Street. Turn left onto Strand Street and continue walking until you reach the intersection with the main road, which is called the B2. Turn right onto the B2 and continue walking for about 500 meters. You will see a large building with colonial architecture on your left, which is the Altes Amtsgericht. The entrance is easily accessible from the street.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Swakopmund. Start from the Swakopmund Jetty and head south along the beachfront promenade. Continue cycling until you reach Strand Street. Turn left onto Strand Street and cycle until you reach the intersection with the B2 road. Turn right onto the B2 and cycle for approximately 500 meters. The Altes Amtsgericht will be on your left side.

• Public Transport (Walking to Bus Stop)

  To reach the Altes Amtsgericht via public transport, start by walking to the nearest bus stop located at the Swakopmund Plaza Shopping Centre on Sam Nujoma Avenue. Catch a local bus heading towards the central district of Swakopmund. Disembark at the stop closest to the B2 intersection. From there, walk towards the B2 and turn left. Continue walking for about 500 meters, and you will find the Altes Amtsgericht on your left side.
