Getting there

Walking

Start your journey at the Walvis Bay Waterfront, which is a popular area frequented by tourists. From the Waterfront, head east on the main road, which is known as 5th Road. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with 8th Road. You will notice a sign for Dune 7 as you approach. Turn left onto 8th Road and walk for approximately 1 kilometer. Dune 7 will be on your right at 39 8th Rd.

Bicycle

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops near the Walvis Bay Waterfront. From the Waterfront, cycle east along 5th Road for about 1.5 kilometers. Once you reach the intersection with 8th Road, turn left and continue cycling for about 1 kilometer. Dune 7 will be on your right. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow local traffic rules.

Public Transport

For public transport, you can take a local taxi or shuttle service from the Walvis Bay town center. Look for taxis that are heading towards the Swakopmund area; inform the driver that you want to get off at Dune 7. The fare is usually affordable, and the ride will take around 15-20 minutes. The driver will drop you off near the entrance to Dune 7, which is located at 39 8th Rd.
