Walking
From the central area of Windhoek (like the Post Street Mall), head east on Post Street until you reach the intersection with Independence Avenue. Turn left onto Independence Avenue and walk straight for about 1 kilometer. You will pass the Parliament Gardens on your right. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Robert Mugabe Avenue. The Independence Memorial Museum will be on your left just after the intersection.
Public Transport (Minibus Taxi)
Head to the nearest minibus taxi stop in the city center, usually near the Post Street Mall. Look for a taxi heading towards 'Klein Windhoek' or 'Independence Avenue'. Board the taxi and inform the driver that you want to go to the Independence Museum. The taxi will drop you near the museum. From the drop-off point, walk a short distance to the museum entrance.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in Windhoek. Start your journey from the city center, heading towards Independence Avenue. Follow Independence Avenue eastward for about 1 kilometer. You will see the Independence Memorial Museum on your left. There are bicycle racks available near the museum for parking.
