Walking
If you are in central Windhoek, start at the Post Street Mall. From there, head east towards Independence Avenue. Turn right onto Independence Avenue and walk straight for about 500 meters. You will pass several shops and restaurants along the way. Keep an eye out for the large building of the National Museum on your left as you approach the intersection with Park Street. At the intersection, turn left onto Park Street, and after about 200 meters, you will find Zoo Park on your right side.
Public Transport
First, locate the nearest bus stop or taxi rank in central Windhoek. You can take a minibus taxi that is heading towards the Windhoek Central area. Make sure to inform the driver that you want to get off at Zoo Park. The ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive, walk a short distance down Park Street, and Zoo Park will be directly ahead of you.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in central Windhoek. Head towards Independence Avenue and ride east. As you approach the intersection with Park Street, turn left. Continue cycling down Park Street for about 200 meters, and you will see Zoo Park on your right. There are bike racks available for parking your bicycle once you arrive.
