Car
If you are traveling by car from Zambezi, you will want to head southeast on the M10 road towards Sioma Falls. The journey is approximately 150 kilometers and will take around 2 to 3 hours depending on road conditions. Make sure to refuel in Zambezi as there are limited services along the way. As you approach Sioma, keep an eye out for signage indicating the falls. There is a parking area available at Sioma Falls.
Public Transportation (Bus)
For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from Zambezi to Sioma. Buses leave from the main bus station in Zambezi. Ensure you check the schedules as they may vary; typically, there are buses available in the morning. The fare is usually around ZMW 50 to ZMW 100. The bus ride will take approximately 3 to 4 hours. Upon arriving in Sioma, you can take a local taxi or walk to the falls, which are about 10 kilometers from the bus drop-off point.
Taxi
If you are already in Sioma and prefer to take a taxi, you can hire one to take you to Sioma Falls. It is advisable to negotiate the fare beforehand; expect to pay between ZMW 100 to ZMW 200 for the round trip, depending on your bargaining skills and the distance to the falls. The taxi ride should take around 15 to 20 minutes.
