From anywhere in Nebraska National Forest, head towards the nearest major road, such as NE-92 or US-281. Follow the signs to connect to I-80 East. After about 100 miles, take exit 447 for 72nd Street toward Omaha. Continue on 72nd Street until you reach the junction with Dodge Street (US-6). Turn left onto Dodge Street and follow it to 90th Street. Turn right onto 90th Street and continue until you reach the OPPD Arboretum, located at 107th and Pacific Streets. Parking is available on-site.

If using public transportation, start by finding the nearest bus stop in Nebraska National Forest. Use the local bus service to travel to a nearby city, such as North Platte. From North Platte, take a Greyhound bus or a local shuttle service to Omaha. Once in Omaha, use the Omaha Metro Transit system. Take bus number 2 (Dodge Street) towards the Westroads Mall and transfer to the 90th Street bus line. Get off at 90th and Pacific Streets, and the OPPD Arboretum is within walking distance.
