If you are traveling by car, you can reach Fort Niobrara Scenic Overlook from the Niobrara National Scenic River area by heading northwest on NE-12. Continue on NE-12 for approximately 15 miles until you reach the town of Valentine. The overlook is located just outside of Valentine on NE-12. Look for signs indicating the Fort Niobrara National Wildlife Refuge and the scenic overlook. There is no entrance fee for the overlook.
