If you have access to a bicycle, start from Patan Durbar Square. Ride east towards the Mahabouddha Temple, then continue straight past the temple for about 1.5 kilometers. The last stretch involves a slight climb, but it should take around 15 to 20 minutes total to reach the statue by bicycle.
