Car
If you are driving from Sauraha, take the Sauraha-Chitwan National Park Road. Follow the road for about 2.5 kilometers until you reach a fork. Take the left fork and continue driving for another 3 kilometers. You will see the Rapti River on your right, with several viewpoints and picnic spots along the riverbank.
Public Transportation
From Sauraha, you can take a local bus or a shared jeep towards Narayanghat. Get off at the Chitwan National Park entrance (approximately 6 kilometers from Sauraha). From there, you can hire a rickshaw or walk about 2 kilometers to reach the river. The walk will take you through beautiful landscapes and local villages.
Rickshaw
If you are in Bharatpur, you can hire a rickshaw to take you directly to the Rapti River. It takes about 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Just inform the driver to take you to the river near Sauraha, and they will know the best route.
Walking
If you are staying in Sauraha, the Rapti River is within walking distance. Head towards the river from the main street in Sauraha, following the signs for the riverfront. It is about a 15-minute walk, and you will enjoy the scenic beauty along the way.
