Car
If you're traveling by car, head towards Ghandruk, which is the nearest major settlement to Deurali. From Pokhara, take the Prithvi Highway towards Baglung and then follow the signs to Ghandruk. The drive takes approximately 2-3 hours depending on traffic. Once you reach Ghandruk, park your vehicle in the designated parking area as vehicles cannot go further into the trekking paths. From Ghandruk, you'll need to hike approximately 3-4 hours to reach Deurali.
Public Transportation
To reach Ghandruk via public transportation, catch a local bus from Pokhara to Nayapul. The bus ride takes about 1.5-2 hours and costs around NPR 200-300. From Nayapul, take a jeep or a local bus to Ghandruk, which will take around 30-45 minutes and costs approximately NPR 150. Once you arrive in Ghandruk, follow the trekking path towards Deurali, which is about a 3-4 hour hike uphill.
Trekking
After reaching Ghandruk, begin your trek towards Deurali. The trail is well-marked and offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. It's advisable to hire a local guide for assistance and to enhance your experience. The trek can be steep at times, so ensure you have proper trekking shoes and plenty of water. Along the way, you may encounter tea houses to rest and replenish your energy. The trek should take around 3-4 hours, depending on your pace, and will lead you to Deurali at 3200m.
