Car
If you are driving, start your journey from Pokhara, the nearest major city. Head east on the Prithvi Highway (also known as the Pokhara-Kathmandu Highway). After approximately 30 kilometers, take the exit toward Taksar (signs may not be clear, so keep your GPS handy). Follow the road signs toward Taksar, which is about 18 kilometers from the highway exit. The last few kilometers are on a narrower, winding road. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition as some parts may not be well-paved. Parking is available near the viewpoint.
Public Transportation
From Pokhara, take a local bus heading towards Taksar. Buses leave regularly from the bus station, and the fare is approximately NPR 200-300. The journey will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you reach Taksar, the bus will drop you off at the main road. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1 kilometer uphill to reach the Mountain View Point. It's advisable to ask locals for directions if you're unsure, as the path may not be marked.
Hiking
If you're feeling adventurous, consider hiking to the Mountain View Point. Starting from Taksar village, the hike is approximately 1 kilometer uphill and should take about 30 minutes. The path can be steep in places, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water. The view from the top is well worth the effort, offering stunning panoramas of the surrounding mountains.
