Car
If you are driving to Naudanda, head towards Pokhara. From the center of Pokhara, take the road leading to Sarangkot. Follow the signs for Sarangkot and continue straight. After approximately 8 kilometers, you will reach a fork in the road; take the left path towards Naudanda. The road will take you through scenic views and small villages. Naudanda is about 3 kilometers from the fork. Look for signs indicating Naudanda, as it is a popular destination. Parking is available near the viewpoint area.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can catch a local bus from Pokhara to Sarangkot. Buses leave regularly from the main bus station in Pokhara and cost around NPR 50-100 (about USD 0.50-1). Once you arrive in Sarangkot, you can either walk (approximately 3 kilometers) to Naudanda or hire a local taxi for around NPR 300-500 (about USD 2.50-4.50) to take you directly to Naudanda. The taxi ride offers a comfortable option with beautiful views along the way.
Motorbike Rental
Another option is to rent a motorbike in Pokhara. Rental shops are abundant, and prices typically range from NPR 800-1500 per day (about USD 6-12). After renting, head towards Sarangkot as described before. The ride is scenic and allows you to stop at various viewpoints along the way. Once you reach the fork, take the left road towards Naudanda. Ensure you have a valid license and wear a helmet for safety.
Hiking
For the adventurous, you can hike to Naudanda from Pokhara. The trek starts from the lakeside area and will take about 2-3 hours. Follow the trail towards Sarangkot, which is well-marked. Once you reach Sarangkot, continue following the path that leads you to Naudanda. Make sure to wear good hiking shoes and carry water. This option provides a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the local scenery and culture.
