Walking
Start your journey from the center of Gorkha, where the Gorkha Durbar Square is located. Head north on the main road (Prithvi Highway) for about 1 km until you reach the junction at the entrance of the Gorkha Bazaar. From here, take a left turn onto a less busy road that leads towards the hills. Continue along this path for approximately 300 meters until you see a sign for the Mahadev Temple. Follow the signs, and you will start to ascend some steps. The temple is located at the top of the steps, approximately 500 meters further up. The views along the way are beautiful, so take your time and enjoy the scenery.

For those looking for a more adventurous route, start at Gorkha Durbar Square and take the trail leading east towards the hills. The hiking trail is well marked and takes you through lush greenery. After about 20 minutes of climbing, you will reach a viewpoint overlooking the valley. From there, continue along the trail for another 15 minutes until you arrive at Mahadev Temple. The hike is moderately challenging, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
