Car
If you are driving, head towards Panipokhari, Kathmandu. From the center of Kathmandu, take the Ring Road and look for signs towards Panipokhari. Once you reach Panipokhari, you can park your car nearby. The entrance to Ranibari Community Forest is a short walk from the parking area. Make sure to follow local traffic rules and be cautious of pedestrians.
Public Transportation (Bus)
For public transport, find a bus or microbus heading towards Panipokhari. You can catch a bus from various locations in Kathmandu, including New Bus Park. Once on the bus, inform the conductor that you want to get off at Panipokhari. The fare is usually around NPR 20-30 (about $0.20-$0.30). After getting off, walk towards the forest entrance, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.
Taxi or Ride-Sharing
If you prefer a more comfortable option, consider taking a taxi or using a ride-sharing app. Simply enter 'Ranibari Community Forest' or 'Panipokhari' as your destination in the app. The fare will vary based on your starting location but expect to pay around NPR 300-600 (about $2.50-$5.00) depending on traffic and distance. Taxis are also available throughout the city, and you can negotiate the fare if not using a meter.
Walking
