Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Nagarkot, head towards the Nagarkot Bus Park. Once you reach the bus park, look for the path leading downhill towards the main road. Follow the road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the Sitapaila Road. Turn left onto Sitapaila Road. Continue walking for about 2 kilometers, and you will see signs directing you towards Vajrayogini Temple. The temple is located on the right side of the road. You may need to walk uphill for a short distance to reach the temple entrance.

  • Hiking

    If you are up for a hike, you can take the scenic route from Nagarkot to Vajrayogini Temple. Start from the Nagarkot View Tower and follow the trail that leads down the hill. This trail will take you through beautiful landscapes and local flora. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will reach a small stream; cross the stream and continue on the trail. After another 1 kilometer, the trail will merge with Sitapaila Road. Turn left and walk for about 500 meters until you see the temple on your right.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    At the Nagarkot Bus Park, look for a local bus heading towards Bhaktapur. Get on the bus and inform the driver that you want to get off at Sitapaila. The bus ride will take around 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Sitapaila, disembark and walk uphill for about 700 meters. Look for signs indicating the direction to Vajrayogini Temple, which will be on your right.
