Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from Thamel, head east on Tridevi Marg, then turn left onto the busy Durbar Marg. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with the Bagmati River. Cross the river via the bridge, then continue straight onto the road leading to Sundarijal. After reaching Sundarijal, take the path leading towards Budhanilkantha. Follow the signs to Budhanilkantha and keep an eye out for local landmarks. After about 30 minutes, you will reach Budhanilkantha. From there, look for signs directing you towards Jamchen Vijaya Stupa, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the center of Budhanilkantha.

From Thamel, walk to the nearest microbus station at Ratna Park. Take a microbus heading to Budhanilkantha. The journey will take about 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at Budhanilkantha, ask the locals for directions to Jamchen Vijaya Stupa. It is a short walk from the main bus stop, approximately 15 minutes away. Just follow the road that leads towards the hills, and you will see the stupa ahead.
