Walking
From the Boudhanath Stupa, head southeast along the main road towards the Tushal area. You will pass several shops and cafes. Continue walking for about 10 minutes until you reach a small intersection. At the intersection, turn left onto Tushal-Mahankal Road. Shechen Monastery is located about 5 minutes further down this road on your right.

If you are starting from the Boudhanath Stupa, you can also take a more scenic route. Walk around the stupa clockwise, enjoying the views and the atmosphere. After completing the kora (circumambulation), exit the stupa area and head towards the main road. Turn right and continue walking towards Tushal-Mahankal Road. It will take about 15-20 minutes to reach the monastery from the stupa.
