From any location in Koshi Zone, drive towards the nearest major city, which is Biratnagar. From Biratnagar, take the East-West Highway (Mahendra Highway) heading west. After approximately 45 kilometers, take the exit towards the Kathmandu Highway (Prithvi Highway). Continue driving for about 160 kilometers until you reach Kathmandu. Once in Kathmandu, follow the signs to Rani Pokhari, which is located in the central part of the city, at latitude 27.7080074 and longitude 85.315722. Parking is available near the pond, but be prepared to pay a small fee for parking.

Public Transportation

Begin your journey by taking a bus from your location in Koshi Zone to Biratnagar. The bus fare is typically around NPR 200-300. Once you arrive in Biratnagar, find a bus that goes to Kathmandu; the fare for this leg is usually around NPR 1,000 to NPR 1,500. The bus ride can take anywhere from 6 to 8 hours depending on traffic. Upon arriving in Kathmandu, you can take a local taxi or a rickshaw to reach Rani Pokhari.
