Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Namche Bazaar, head towards the Namche Stupa, which is located on a hill to the left as you face the mountains. After reaching the stupa, continue along the trail that leads towards the Everest View Hotel. This path will take you through some beautiful pine forests and offer stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Keep following the trail upwards for about an hour. You will reach a fork in the path; take the left path that leads towards the village of Pangboche. After about another 30 minutes, you will start to see signs pointing towards Chukhung. Continue following these signs, and after another hour, you will arrive in Chukhung.

    If you prefer a guided experience, consider joining a local trekking tour that departs from Namche Bazaar to Chukhung. These tours typically gather at a common meeting point near the Namche Bazaar market square.
