Getting There

Walking
From the center of Patan, head towards Patan Durbar Square. Once you reach the square, exit towards the south gate. Continue straight along the road, passing by the Patan Museum on your left. Follow the road as it curves to the right and then take a left onto the main road leading to Lagankhel. Walk through Lagankhel market, soaking in the local atmosphere. Keep walking straight until you reach the bus stop at Lagankhel. From there, take a local bus heading to 'Dakshinkali.' The bus ride will take around 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Get off at the Dakshinkali stop. From the bus stop, it's a short 10-minute walk uphill to the temple. Follow the signs and local directions to reach Dakshinkali Mandir.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from a local shop in Patan. Start your journey from Patan Durbar Square and head towards the southern exit. Cycle along the main road that leads to Lagankhel. After passing through Lagankhel market, continue straight until you reach the bus stop. At this point, you can choose to continue cycling or take a local bus for a portion of the journey. If cycling, proceed past the bus stop and follow the road signs towards Dakshinkali. The road may become steep, so be prepared for a workout. Once you arrive at the Dakshinkali area, park your bicycle, and walk 10 minutes uphill to reach the temple.

Public Transportation
From your location in Patan, walk to the nearest bus stop or Lagankhel bus station. Look for a bus that has 'Dakshinkali' written on it. Board the bus and pay the fare (it’s usually quite inexpensive). The bus will take you through the local neighborhoods and towards Dakshinkali. The ride will take about 30-40 minutes. Be attentive to the stops, and when you reach the Dakshinkali stop, disembark. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk uphill to the temple, following the signs or asking locals for directions if needed.
