Getting There
-
Walking
From the center of Patan (Patan Durbar Square), head southeast towards the main road (Pulchowk Road). Walk for about 10-15 minutes until you reach the junction with the Ring Road. At the junction, turn left onto the Ring Road and continue walking for approximately 20 minutes. Look out for signs indicating 'Sunakothi' or 'Jainkhel'. As you walk along the Ring Road, you will enter the Sunakothi area. Keep an eye out for local shops and eateries, which will help guide your way.
-
Walking
Once you reach the Sunakothi area, look for Jainkhel Road, which is a small road branching off from the main Ring Road. Turn right onto Jainkhel Road and walk straight. You will pass through a residential area, and the road will gradually incline as you walk. Continue on this road for about 15-20 minutes. You will notice the surroundings becoming more natural and less urban.
-
Walking
As you approach the final stretch, watch for signs or locals pointing towards Jainkhel View Point. The road may become more rugged and less developed, so be prepared for a bit of a hike. Follow the path that leads uphill; it will take you directly to the viewpoint. This last segment may take about 10-15 minutes. Once you reach the viewpoint, you will be rewarded with stunning views of the surrounding hills and the city below.
