Getting There

Walking
From the Patan Durbar Square, head east on the main street towards the Patan Museum. Continue straight for about 800 meters until you reach the traffic intersection. At the intersection, turn left onto Pulchowk Road. Walk straight for approximately 1 kilometer. You will see a sign for Swoyambhu Mahachaitya. Follow the signs, and you will find the entrance to the temple on your right.

Walking
If you are starting from the Golden Temple (Hiranya Varna Mahavihar), exit the temple and head southeast. Walk down to the main road and take a right. Continue walking for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Swayambhu Road. Turn left and walk straight for another 1.2 kilometers. You will see the Swoyambhu Mahachaitya on your left, marked by its iconic stupa.

Bicycle
From the Patan Industrial Estate, head north toward the main road. Once you reach the main road, turn left and ride straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction at Pulchowk Road. Turn right and continue cycling for about 1 kilometer. Keep an eye out for directional signs towards Swoyambhu Mahachaitya; you will find the entrance to the temple on your left.
