Car
From Rolwaling Valley, head towards the nearest main road. If you're in a private vehicle, navigate to the village of Singati. From Singati, take the road that leads to the town of Charikot. The drive to Charikot will take approximately 3-4 hours. Once in Charikot, follow the signs towards Lukla, a popular starting point for trekking to Sagarmatha National Park. The drive from Charikot to Lukla takes about 6-7 hours, so be prepared for a long journey. Keep in mind that the road can be winding and challenging in places.

Public Transportation
To reach Sagarmatha National Park via public transportation, start by taking a local bus or jeep from Rolwaling Valley to Charikot. The journey may take around 3-4 hours. Once you arrive in Charikot, look for buses heading to Lukla. The bus ride to Lukla will take approximately 6-7 hours. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as services may vary. It's advisable to book your ticket in advance, especially during peak trekking seasons. The cost for the bus from Charikot to Lukla is typically around NPR 1000-1500.

Trekking
Upon reaching Lukla, you can start your trek to Sagarmatha National Park. The trek from Lukla to the park entrance in Monjo takes about 2-3 days, depending on your pace and acclimatization. Follow the well-marked trails towards Phakding, and then to Monjo, where you will find the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park. Ensure you have your TIMS card and park permit ready; these can be obtained in Lukla or at the entrance.
