Getting there

Car

From the nearest major city, such as Nepalgunj, rent a car or hire a taxi to drive towards Shey Phoksundo National Park. The drive takes approximately 12-14 hours, depending on road conditions. Once you reach the entrance of the park, you'll pay an entry fee of around NPR 1,500 per person. After entering, follow the main road towards Ringmo village. From Ringmo, you'll need to take a local guide or a jeep to reach Hanuman Sarovar, which is about a 2-3 hour trek from Ringmo.

Public Transportation

Start your journey by taking a bus from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj, which takes about 12-14 hours and costs approximately NPR 1,500. From Nepalgunj, catch a local bus to Juphal (around NPR 500), which takes about 1-2 hours. From Juphal, hire a local jeep to take you to Dunai (NPR 300). Then proceed to Ringmo village by foot or hire a local guide. The trek from Ringmo to Hanuman Sarovar will take about 2-3 hours.

Once in Ringmo, begin your trek on the well-marked trails towards Hanuman Sarovar. The trek is approximately 6-8 kilometers and should take about 2-3 hours, depending on your pace. Follow the trail that leads westward from Ringmo, passing through picturesque landscapes and local villages. Ensure you have adequate trekking gear and water supplies, as there are limited facilities along the way.
