Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the main entry point of Shey Phoksundo National Park. Drive towards the village of Ringmo, which is about 20 kilometers from the park entrance. Follow the road signs directing you to Ringmo, and enjoy the scenic views along the way. Once in Ringmo, you will need to park your vehicle as there is limited access for cars beyond this point. From here, you can either hike or hire a local guide to take you to मोक्ष ताल. The hike from Ringmo to मोक्ष ताल is approximately 5 kilometers and can take around 2-3 hours depending on your pace.

• Public Transportation

  To reach मोक्ष ताल using public transportation, start by taking a bus to the town of Dunai from Kathmandu or Nepalgunj. The bus ride can take 10-12 hours. From Dunai, you can catch a local jeep or taxi to the entrance of Shey Phoksundo National Park, which is about 2 hours away. Once you arrive at the park entrance, you will need to trek to Ringmo, which is about 10 kilometers away. After reaching Ringmo, you can either hike or hire a local guide to continue to मोक्ष ताल, which is about 5 kilometers further and will take an additional 2-3 hours.

• Hiking

  After arriving in Ringmo, you will need to hike to मोक्ष ताल. The trail is well-marked, but it is advisable to take a local guide if you are unfamiliar with the area. The hike will take you through beautiful landscapes, and you may encounter local wildlife. Be sure to carry enough water and snacks, as there are limited facilities along the trail. The hike is moderately challenging but offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and the serene atmosphere of the area.
